Terps to face Temple in 1st Rd of Orlando Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. – The Maryland men’s basketball team will play Temple in the opening round of the 2019 Orlando Invitational Thurs., Nov. 28, at 11am on ESPN2 at HP Field House.

With a victory, the Terrapins would face the winner of Texas A&M and Harvard in the semifinals. Other participants in the field include Marquette, USC, Davidson and Fairfield.

The eight-team tournament will be held Thanksgiving weekend, Thursday, Friday and Sunday, Nov. 28, 29 and Dec. 1, at HP Field House at ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex near Orlando, Fla.

The 2019 Orlando Invitational, a bracket-format tournament, will feature 12 games over the three days. Each team will compete in one game per day, advancing through a bracket-tournament format. The two teams that remain undefeated throughout will face off in a championship match Sunday, Dec. 1.

The Terps will also face Fairfield in a non-bracketed game in College Park on Nov. 19.

All games will be broadcast on ESPN, ESPN2, ESPNU or ESPNEWS.
