Illini QB Brandon Peters is returning as starting QB vs Terps, pushing Art Sitkowski back to the bench. In the season opener vs Nebraska, Peters injured his left shoulder on a vicious hit landing full force on his left shoulder (was in a sling for a while after). Sitkowski went 58-102 for 611 yards with 6 td and 1 int in losses to UTSA (37-30) and UVA (42-14) and a win in relief vs Nebraska (30-22). Peters completed just 48.8% of his passes last season while rushing 24-136 and a TD. In 11 starts in 2019, he had 21 td (18 pass, 3 rush) but again hovered around 50% completions (55.3%)
