If you haven't noticed already (although, I'm sure most of you have), the Terps have not been afraid to let their freshmen make plays this season.
Coming into the season, not too many people knew what to expect out of this year's redshirt or true freshmen. But players like Avery Edwards, D.J. Moore, Ty Johnson, Jahrvis Davenport, Darnell Savage Jr., Damian Prince and Derwin Gray have all had an impact this year and give Maryland fans something to look forward to for years to come.
Get this young talent mixed in with what is expected to be a loaded 2016 recruiting class and you can already start to see that the Terps future is looking bright.
Not sure if Mike Locksley will be the guy coaching this group in the future, but he at least is able to see the value in getting these guys some early playing time in order to help the program as a whole moving forward. Showing high schoolers that they could possibly come in and play right away at Maryland can also be an effective recruiting tool for the Terps.
