Twenty-eight folks at ESPN picked their Final Fours, the national champion, the player of the year, and the coach of the year. The Terps were selected by many to be in the FF, and Jay Bilas, Craig Robinson, C.L.Brown, and Jeff Borzello selected Maryland to win it all. Melo Trimble was predicted to be the national player of the year by Dick Vitale, Joe Lunardi, Reggie Rankin, and Craig Robinson. Mark Turgeon was picked as coach of the year by Dick Vitale, Adrian Branch, Paul Biancardi, and Reggie Rankin.
