ON HIS WORKOUTS WITH GUYS LIKE STEFON DIGGS, WHAT IT IS THAT THEY HAVE THAT HE HAS TO LEARN
"Yeah, man, so receiver-wise, man, I would say just how they make every route look the same, man. So, you're playing a lot of top corners, everybody's fast, everybody's long, everybody, everybody's an NFL DB, of course. So just kind of playing with guys, man, that make all their routes look the same and their contested catching and just everything about how they dominate the game, man. So, I feel like that's a big part I can put it in my game, especially the work ethic, man. That's one thing Diggs told us is having that work ethic, because when you have that work ethic, it's always going to show out on the field. So that's something I took from him, 100%."On if he's doing a pro day: "Yeah, March 28th is our Maryland Pro Day … I'll be running routes."
ON IF HE IS STILL LIVING IN THE ASHBURN AREA OR IS DOWN IN FLORIDA
"Yeah, I'm actually going back and forth from the Ashburn area and Maryland, kind of working out, I have trainers in both areas. So I've been going back and forth, kind of collecting time, getting my stuff up from Florida, I had to ship some stuff up, and then see the family, and then I'll get working out pretty soon here, but I'll be back and forth."ON KADEN PRATHER’S COMBINE PERFORMANCE
"Yeah, 100% man, KP, man, he's a dog, man. We already knew that he was going to be in that 4.4 range. I thought he's going to run a little bit like a low 4.4, kind of lower than that, man, because KP is a long strider. He's very fast for his size, man … His football IQ man, coming from West Virginia, he learned a lot in the complex Maryland offense that we were in. So it was just awesome seeing him grow his football IQ, how he reads defenses and his work ethic, man. That's another guy that works hard, man. He stays in the facility, put in the work man, just like mem man. So, it's exciting seeing somebody on the other side of you that your kind of is working with and grinding with and going throughout that process with dominating as well in the combine. And I know he'll be good, man, because he's a dog, for sure."ON PLAYING FOR MIKE LOCKSLEY
"Yeah, man, Locks is a good dude, man. I love Locks. Man. He was one of the only guys that kind of took me out, coming out of high school when I tore that ACL, man. So just the loyalty the staff had to me and how much they care for me and my family, but Locks is a good dude, man. He had us in a very complex offense at Maryland, so it translates very well to what we were doing. As I started going through the interview process and stuff like that, I realized the Maryland system that we were running is really a pro system. I'm seeing the same stuff that the scouts is telling me to remember, their formation and stuff like that. It's very translatable, I would say, in terms of that. But yeah, Locks is a good dude, man. He takes care of his guys, man. And I understand and I know that we had a down year at Maryland my senior year, man, but I know those guys will turn it around, man, because Locks, he's all about improving and getting better, man…"On his official height: "I think I was 6-1. 6-1."
ON IF HE AND HIS AGENT HAVE A SENSE OF WHERE HE MAY GO IN THE DRAFT
"Actually, after the combine he was juiced up. Some teams had me running like 4.48 and stuff like that, so I got to cut that down, so the teams are definitely juiced up. Man, I couldn't tell you, man, because you really don't know what happens till Draft Day. I just watched the draft so many times, man, with free agency, guys trading up in the draft, guys trading down, but I definitely helped myself 100%, man. I'm looking forward to also help myself in the pro day as well, because I just feel like I ran my best routes. I always feel like there's something I can work on, man, so I'll be better routes at the combine and stuff, I mean, at the Pro Day and stuff like that. But he's juiced up, man. I definitely, he had a lot of people calling him after that combine performance for sure. So he's definitely juiced up, man, so it's just going through these Zoom interviews with other teams and stuff like that and just continue to soak in the process and enjoy it."On his agents: "Mason Steinberg and Dan Saffron out of Equity Sports."
ON WHAT HE WILL DO WITH HIS FIRST NFL CHECK, IF HE GOT NIL MONEY AT MARYLAND
"Yeah. man, I will definitely be responsible, but I definitely will get like a new car or something like that. Or if I stay home, man, I'll be buying a house, man. If I stay home, for sure…"On NIL: "Yeah, 100% man. I definitely had a little NIL money, for sure. It's not as much of what guys are getting down. Mine's was a little bit less than that. But I definitely got some NIL money, Maryland definitely took care of me, for sure."
ON HIS DREAM NEIGHBORHOOD IF HE STAYS LOCAL
"Man, Great Falls is really nice. Man, Great Falls is nice, Falls Church, that area. That area is really nice, right? That John Champe area, Aldie, that's really nice over there, man. And if it's the Ravens, man – I don't know too much about Maryland, like the counties and stuff like that … Hyattsville, I think … All I know is PG County and College Park, Maryland."ON IF HE HAS A BIG FAMILY, WHERE HE’S WATCHING THE DRAFT
"Nah. It's just me and my sister and mom and dad. So, it's not big, but I have some other family members that'll probably come check me out and stuff like that. But it's just me, mom, dad, sister and my dogs."On the draft party:
"Yeah, I'll be in Ashland somewhere. We'll be renting out an Airbnb or something because I want to be able to have everybody that kind of started my foundation, to help me get up to this point, kind of there and stuff of that nature. So, we'll be in Northern Virginia somewhere, having a party, 100%."
