While Melo Trimble was asked to help shoulder the load offensively last season, it also meant at times conserving energy on the defensive end or not going as hard defensively because the team couldn't afford to have him in foul trouble. With the addition of Rasheed Sulaimon and Jaylen Brantley (and a bunch of guys 6-9 or taller), Trimble can now exert more energy on the defensive end of the court as well as take some gambles on that end. He also learned a lot about how to better prepare this summer spending time with Steph Curry and the pros on the Pan Am team.
