Maryland WBB standout Shy Sellers was released by the WNBA expansion franchise Golden State Valkyries. The #17 selection in the WNBA draft was cut before the preseason games began drawing a tremendous backlash for Maryland as well as BIG10 fans who are in shock. I am trying to rationalize this and am having difficulties. I know that Shy was inured during the last month of the season, and was never quite herself during the tournament. Selles could very well have her jersey hanging at Xfinity which makes this even more difficult to accept. Hopefully she will get another chance somewhere else.
