@RobCassidy_Rivals and I had a feature on the national page today running down the Top 5 uncommitted players in the Southeast and where they might end up come Signing Day. When it came to Five-Star wide linebacker Rahshaun Smith, Maryland got the prediction.
From the piece:
The Skinny: A one-time Clemson commit, Smith names no official favorites. He has been a bit coy with the media since backing off his commitment to the Tigers, but the widespread belief is that the fact that his mentor is now employed by Maryland will play a part in his recruitment.
If today were Signing Day ... Smith says Clemson is still very much involved in his recruitment, but it's rare that a player breaks a verbal commitment just to re-solidify it down the road. Does it happen? Sure, but it's certainly the exception to the rule. It's why Maryland has to like its chances with the five-star linebacker.
