Just wanted to post a few names that I'll be watching closely for this weekend's upcoming lineman camp.
As I posted earlier today, OL Zach Adams is now coming to The Big Show on June 27, instead of this weekend. That makes sense now that he holds a UMD offer.
For this weekend, there are two uncommitted names that most of you are familiar with: Thomas Lopez and Eddy Fish.
From speaking with contacts, I don't believe Fish is actually registered at this time, but he has been telling myself and others that he plans to attend, so I'm pretty sure he just needs to fill out the paperwork. Both he and Lopez have been on campus multiple times over the past year. I wouldn't be shocked if one of them got an offer, but as I've been stressing lately, everyone continues to hint to me that the staff is now waiting on only their most prized offensive line targets. I don't know all the specifics, but I've been give the impression that these two are guys to watch, but following commitments from others, they likely won't pick up Maryland offers until after guys like Terrance Davis, Devery Hamilton and Richard Merritt make their intentions clear. Hamilton should be making a commitment to Michigan in the near future, but the other two plan to use their official visits.
Another name to remember is Lorenzo Neal from St. Thomas H.S. in Houston, Texas. His father is Lorenzo Neal, the former San Diego Chargers fullback. I actually think Neal has a better chance of getting a Maryland offer than Lopez or Fish, but again, I don't know all the specifics. That's just the impression I've been given from talking to people.
Future Terp OL Alex Hall is also registered and I know the staff is trying to get Brian Plummer, Michael Clark, Terek Zingale and Joey Fisher to also make the trip. I'm sure one or two of those guys will end up coming, so I'll post an update when I learn more.
