I spoke with some contacts last night and I wanted to pass on two solid prospects that I'll be watching closely during Maryland's camp on Tuesday.
The first is Ath. Kolten Huber from St. Peter's Prep in New Jersey. We've talked about him a few times in recent months. Huber's brother ended up at UMass, but he was recruited by Edsall and his staff, so the family is very familiar with most of the coaching staff. Huber is listed as a wide receiver, but he'll actually be working out at safety on Tuesday. As I've been stressing, defensive back is one of the staff's top priorities to wrap up this class, so I believe he has a real chance to get an offer if he performs well. From a character and academic standpoint, he's everything the staff wants. He has some real solid speed, too.

The other prospect to watch is DE Charly Timite from Simon Gratz in Philadelphia. I'm still don't understand how he hasn't picked up a Div. I offer yet. Timite has been one of the most consistent prospects on the camp scene this spring. He's earned top performer honors at basically every camp. I do have to investigate a little more, but I don't believe there are academic issues. He's not a 3.5 student or anything like that, but from everything I've gathered, he meets all the NCAA standards.
