Well, speaking of a backup plan to Kegler....Turgeon was in to watch 2016 Huntington Prep (W.Va.) four-star SF Micah Thomas yesterday.
Thomas is a long 6-7, 185 and a major presence on both ends of the floor. He played his AAU ball for Memphis based Team Thad (named for Thaddeus Young) on the Under Armour circuit. We had a chance to watch him down in Charlotte at the UA All-American Camp and I really like his game. His length makes him a very good defender and he's got a nice looking stroke. While he certainly wouldn't be as big of a get as Kegler or Josh Jackson, I personally think he might have more upside than say, DeAndre Hunter, who had a Terps offer and committed to UVA.
Turgeon recently got to see Thomas in live action when he watched Kegler and Oak Hill take on Huntington in a scrimmage last week.
