I just spoke with LB Keith Simms.
Simms announced on Twitter yesterday that he set his Maryland official visit and I was able to confirm this afternoon that he'll be on campus Dec. 4th.
If that date sounds familiar, it's because that's the same weekend that Rahshaun Smith will be taking his official visit, as will the majority of committed prospects.
Obviously, that's another very good sign for the Terps.
However, he also informed me that he's looking to take two or three additional official visits.
Right now, he is set to take an official visit to Oregon on October 9-11, but the remaining schools are yet to be set. Here's the quote...
"The Maryland official visit is set for December and Oregon for October 9th. I think I'm going to take my visits, at least one or two more, as I only get to experience this once."
If he does end up visiting a few other schools, I do expect those trips to come somewhat early in the season. I think a commitment during the season is still likely and I also still believe that Maryland should be considered the favorite.
Of course, he'll also be back at Maryland for other games throughout the year, so things continue to look good for the Terps.
