I've been getting mixed vibes from Ross lately. I know a lot people think he could make a move an potentially commit to Maryland soon. I did have that feeling at one point, probably 2-3 weeks ago, but he's also talking about wanting to get other offers. Since I also cover PSU, he's made it clear to me a few times that they're a school he really wants an offer from, so it's tough for me to say exactly where he stands at the moment. I guess the best way to put it is that nothing would really surprise me with Ross. He's always been short. He doesn't open up much, and when he does, he's said mixed things.
As for Edwards, his lack of offers is mainly because schools are still watching him grow. He's listed as a WR, but that's incorrect. I need to get Rivals to change that on his profile. He'll be a tight end.
He's a big man. We have him listed at 6-3, 212, but I believe that number was taken last summer, so there's a good chance he's closer to 230-235 now. Some schools think he could be a H-back type player, some think he could grow into a traditional tight end, so coaches really want to get a good feel for his max size before they offer.
I'll check into where Maryland projects him at when he leaves campus today. I've added both of these prospect, plus Sutton, to the visit list.
