I haven't written a post for the past 5 years.The old timers on this site know me from giving honest commentary from my own past experience and the number of college coaches I speak to weekly.This team is not as bad as it appears, but Locks should have been down on the field taking info from upstairs and outling the mistakes the quarterback is making and helping him to correct them. The line coach should be fired he is letting a talent like Prince fall in to bad habits, such as playing high and not shifting properly ,this kid is strong and has great feet thats why he was a 5 star.The rest of the line doesn't fire off the line and the results are apparent.The wide receivers have talent but seem to have no confidence in the quarterbacks, they are going through the motions not cutting off their routes and not not adjusting to the the quarterback to give him help. The backs are getting no help from the line and haven't had an opportunity to show what they can do. The defense is playing reasonably well,but they don,t have enough beef upfront but they are not giving up. The DB's are serviceable but don't have the talent to be great.Basically this team is not not well coached and does't have the ability to make adjustments during the game.It doesn't play sound fundamental football.By all appearances they seem to have given up.Maryland has the facilities and location to bring in a top notch coach and staff. Edsall was not the answer when hired or in the future.Something should be done now, no Locks is not the answer and we will probably lose him in the future but a return to decent coaching and winning will bring the recruits.Beleive there are a lot of great coaches that would love to be here.Bobby Ross begged Maryland to give him facilities like we have now, he left and went the super bowl and won a national championship. It can be done.
