Okay, I have no/zero/nada insight into how the coaching search is going but I'd like to make a case for offering Georgia DC Pruitt say $4.5 million (just to top Franklin on principle) to take the helm and then offer to retain Locks (hold the phone people) as OC, assuming Pruitt would agree - seems reasonable on account Pruitt's underlings have been on the defense.

Case for Pruitt: He's young (41), high-energy, a dynamic recruiter, and knows how to coach and win in the power five - SEC (AL, GA) and ACC (FSU); the SEC is first a defensive conference. His defenses have been highly ranked. In 2012 he was named top national recruiter by at least two outlets.

Case for Locks: As UMD vs PSU showed last week, the guy continues to evolve his play calling. He's saying and doing some really great things - sure up the QB position, tailor the play calling to the players, adding some excitement, and hitting the recruiting. Look let's forget about his time as HC at New Mexico--it has no implication on his interim now nor being OC in the future, they hadn't recruited in years and the state has been lower tier HS talent for a long time (unlike the DMV). Locks is a proven recruiter in the DMV! The '16 and '17 classes are tied to Locks. Anderson saves face by underscoring we scored and had a more dynamic offense under Locks leadership.

Whoever they decide, Go Terps!
