Going through some texts here and it seems Locks was out about town with Charlie Strong this evening. Strong was recently let go by Mario Cristobal at Miami and I know he and Locks have a good relationship and that he tried to hire him previously. The only thing is, he doesn't have any experience coaching safeties as far as I know. I believe James Thomas was a DB and coached DBs at some point. Perhaps Locks is considering sliding him over to safeties and Strong takes over outside linebackers where he has a ton of experience. There was some chatter he talked with Saban about the DC job at Bama, but he ended up going with Kevin Steele.
