CSNBaltimore.com reporting that Maryland is one of the schools Notre Dame won't allow Everett Golson to transfer to. No reason given.
Can someone here explain the rules regarding what schools can and can not do on graduate transfers? I thought the rules were pretty simple. If a student completes his undergraduate degree requirements and wants to pursue a graduate degree with a major that his school doesn't offer, then the student athlete is free to pursue it without having to sit out one year. IF that's the case, then how can a school step in and prevent a graduate from going anywhere he chooses if he's met the above criterion?
