I would like to throw in a name that I have never seen mentioned as a possible replacement for RE. What do you think of Mike Tice? (he could also bring along his brother John, who has nfl coaching experience...two former alums)...his overall coaching record wasn't that great (32-33), but he did achieve two 9-7 seasons, and an 8-8 season sandwiched between those two....his lost to the Ravens, which was the last game of the season, kept him from having a 10-6 season....he was also 1-1 in playoff games. His teams were excellent from the offensive side of the ball....in 2002, the Vikings led the league in rushing for the first time in team history, and in 03, they led the league in total offense for the first time in team history...a season later, the Vikings broke team records with 6,339 yards of total offense and, 4,754 passing yards, and over 50 touchdowns. A coach with those types of offensive numbers surely has to understand the defensive side of the ball also. He has nfl experience as a qb coach, ol coach, and a head coach. Tice also served under a pretty decent nfl coaching tree: Denny Green, Jack Del Rio, Lovie Smith, and Mike Smith. I think his resume makes him a more than worthy candidate...and unlike Reich, Tice is probably not in line for any head coaching jobs in the league, but I think he's more than capable to handle the challenge of coaching in the B1G.

Also, to answer mrterp's question, who do we keep from the current staff?....I think we keep Locks in some capacity, Studs, Johnson, and the running backs coach.
