New Jersey four-star safety Willy love announced last night on social media that he has an 'announcement for everybody this Wednesday....stay tuned!.' There was some initial chatter that he could be committing to either Rutgers (where he just wrapped up an official visit last weekend) or Maryland, as they seem to be the two programs leading for him. It now seems more likely he is going to drop a top 3, 5, 8, whatever instead. Regardless of how big his list of finalists is, it still appears the Terps and Scarlet Knights are the two teams best positioned to land his commitment. As for Maryland, they have really come on in this recruitment and have a strong connection as new offensive analyst Preston Brown is the brother of Love's head coach at Eastside, Melik Brown. Preston was the RB coach at Temple last season. Syracuse also in the mix here. Even if he were to commit to Rutgers, Maryland should remain a team to watch with a chance to flip him later down the road.
