Maryland has offered 2024 Rivals150 three-star SF Matthew Hodge out of Belmar (N.J.) St. Rose. Originally from Belgium, he was a standout at the FIBA U18 Euro Championships with the Belgian National team last year. He recently moved stateside, where he was living with former pro tennis player Kim Clijsters and her husband Brian Lynch, who played college basketball at Villanova. He also has a younger brother who is a big-time prospect also.

The connection for Maryland is through new assistant Mike Jones, who played with his father Odell at Old Dominion. His dad was an honorable mention All-American as a senior.
