Terps have offered 2016 Team Final four-star SF Lamar Stevens this afternoon he just let me know.
Those of you that follow hoops recruiting closely know he's a guy that I like a lot and expected to pick up an offer at some point this spring/summer. He's a garbage man around the rim, always cleaning up the glass, especially on the offensive end. He's a rugged 6-6 and can bang down low, but also has range out to the three-point line.
Mark Turgeon watched Team Final earlier in the weekend in Hampton while Cliff Warren watched them play yesterday morning.
Stevens is AAU and now HS teammates with Roman Catholic's Tony Carr who also holds a Terps offer.
Interestingly, I think he's very similar to Team Takeover's Christian Matthews and still think Matthews could very well pick up an offer also, although it might come later as I think he'd jump all over it and try to commit immediately.
