New Baseball Coach

The new Terps baseball coach is making waves with his coaching staff. What a coup! Already a top recruiter from the SEC himself, coach Bakich landed Sean Kenny from Pepperdine, who is known to be a great recruiter himself, as well as one of the top pitching coaches in the country. Then, he lands one of the best high school baseball coaches of all time, Anne Arundle HS coach Bernie Walter. After speaking w/ one player, the general thought about Bakich among the players is, "this guy is crazy! He's going to change Maryland baseball, and I'm glad I'm here to be apart of it."

Go Terps baseball!

That was a great move, hiring Bernie Walter, well-deserved. Let's hope that the economy doesn't necessitate a cutback on scholarships for baseball as well as any other sports.

Coach Bakich has your Terps on a 4 game winning streak. Won't be long until he turns the Terps into consistent winners and brings the Baseball program to the level of other teams at the University of Maryland.

This is not "his team" from a recruiting perspective so they will be up and down this year, but watch how quickly things turn around after a couple of his recruiting classes cycle through.
