The 6-foot-10, 225 pound PF was at Oak Hill last year and has transferred to Southern California Academy for his senior year. He's blown up of late, having already been offered by Arizona State, Cal, Florida, Houston, Pitt, South Carolina, Texas Tech and Vandy within the last month. Obviously, the Terps have a bit of catching up to do here, but Reed definitely seems to fit the mold of the type of big Turgeon likes. He averaged around 12 and 8 during EYBL play, he has a good face up game and is also a decent rim protector. He's originally from Mississippi, where his father played.
