Just heard from a source that Maryland has been in to see 6-foot-7 Takoma Academy wing forward Tyrae Washington. Terps apparently liked what they saw and are expected back at the school to watch him again. This kid has blown up over the past month or so, dominating at the DMV Elite 80 and another recent local event. Spent last season up in New England at the MacDuffie School in Mass. Apparently is a real bull in the paint, excellent shot blocker with a budding perimeter game. I'm guessing they are keeping tabs here as someone who can come in and possibly replace Stix. Sounds like he is expected to be the best face up forward in the area this upcoming season.
