Huggins is a cheat. We know that from his days at K State, etc. If he was the coach at Maryland I would stop watching them because I do not support cheats. he did the same at Cincinnati. He is a cheat, a documented one.
This game may have been the roughest I have ever seen any team play. The hit on Trimble was awful. The big thug Center they had fouled on every rebound possibility. he pushed and bullied every time and nothing was called. He in particular seemed emboldened by the lack of calls against him. He pushed Checko ten feet once while getting to a rebound. He pushed him again once under the basket, jumping through him to put the ball back up for a shot.
I could go on and on because all of their players played the same way.. One tactic they used really irked me. Their guard would start at the top of the lane and move to the left and then cut across the lane, which was wide open because their two big men cleared out our guys with illegal screens which any first year ref could see and should have called. It is okay to screen away from the ball. It is not okay to move people out like they did. It was flagrant and was repeated over and over again. I plan to rewatch the game and document some of the more egregious fouls. Or maybe I will get drunk instead.. I am so freaking pissed at the refs, the 'EErs and Huggins. To hell with all of them.
Hey NCAA, you want Thug Love that much? Be careful because you could turn basketball into a vicious game that would become unwatchable.
Now of course the refs will protect Kentucky and will blow the whistle nonstop for them. Shame we weren't afforded the same.

Praise to our guys who endured a mugging. Praise to all of our seniors. You will be missed. Please let Stone choose us and let us get a transfer to replace Dez. With who we have we can win it all.
