The AP announced their preseason All-America team this afternoon and Melo Trimble missed making the team by a single vote. LSU freshman Ben Simmons got 27 votes and Trimble got 26. Marcus Paige was next with 20 votes. The two guards to make the team were Providence's Kris Dunn and Oklahoma's Buddy Heild.
