COLLEGE PARK, Md. – After winning its first two games of the season, including a convincing 63-20 victory over then-No. 21 Syracuse on Saturday, the Maryland football team lands at No. 21 in this weeks Associated Press Top 25.

It marks the first time the Terps have been ranked in the AP Top 25 since September 29, 2013. It’s the highest Maryland has been ranked since they were also No. 21 in the poll released on November 12, 2006.

The Terps also made their debut in The Amway Coaches Poll, earning a No. 25 ranking.

Maryland’s offense is off to a blistering start, exploding for 142 points through two games. The 63 points scored against Syracuse were the most ever for the Terps against a ranked opponent. It also marks the first time in program history that Maryland has scored 55+ points in consecutive games.

The Terps face their first road test of the season on Saturday when they travel to Temple. The game is set to kickoff from Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia at noon.
