Says the team got back late Saturday night around 4am and made yesterday a practice day with install due to this week's game being Friday night.

They did not play up to the standard they expect to in the opener. The turnovers and the penalties on offense are concerning and the lack of gap control on defense. The pass pro, which has been an achilles heal was better. Tarbeeh Still started and played at a high level. 10 true freshmen and 20 newcomers saw action Saturday night. They are going to switch their attention to Minnesota even more today and they are excited to be home playing at 'the Shell' even though they won't have the fan turnout they would usually hope for. The goal is to not let the last play effect the next play, have to stay neutral, same goes from game to game and he hopes Saturday night's performance won't affect Friday night's game.

With NU, it was the first time facing that offensive coordinator so a lot of adjustments were made on the fly since they really didn't know much about him. Minnesota also has a new coordinator, but now they at least have some film from Saturday's game vs. Michigan. Expects that from Game 1 to Game 2 there will be some improvements on defense.

Says that Taulia took personal responsibility for how he played Saturday night. It was his first career start and he was under a tremendous amount of pressure due to his name. Says he was pressing to make a play, a big play. Threw some balls into double coverage and made some terrible decisions, but not something he's done often and they expect him to make corrections and bounce back. He's the first guy in the building, started yesterday, watching film. Had a great meeting with both QBs and they are moving forward with Tagovailoa as starter. Lance is the backup and he brings some things to the table but Taulia is our QB and I expect that he will play better and continue to improve.

Biggest disappointment was that they didn't play up to the standard of expectations they have set for themselves. Losing sucks, we have invested a lot of time into this to only go out and lay an egg. But we can and will play better and the expectations is we will play better.

Says he is aggressive by nature and would like to attack defensively. But you have to be smart and pick your spots. Nchami was probably one of our best pass rushers and we lost him early and you have to get after Ramsey because he has the ability to make plays with his feet and extend plays. If you want to win games you need big plays on offense and you have to win the turnover battle. We had 3 INTs and a fumble and caused no turnovers of our own.

Ibrahim is a great player who did a great job last year. Minnesota doesn't try to hide who they are, they are gonna run zone play behind that massive O-line. Says too many times they were out of gaps at NU and they will do a better job this week but Minny wants to run the ball and take chances down the field.

Ace Eley has been a guy who has really competed and accepted the competition with Gotay. Says despite how bad things might have looked Saturday, guys like Eley showed the kind of leadership that shows a cultural shift with this team.

One of the best things about Minny being on Friday night is that instead of a 48 hour turnaround where you have some time off to linger and think about what happened last week, instead you have 12 hours getting back late and having to practice Sunday. So in neutral now, reset and get ready for Minny.

Whereas last year's team negativity might have crept in and guys might have been more worried about individual stuff, the leaders now are all about the team and they care.

As Tanner Morgan goes, Minny's offense goes. They are massive up front along the O-line with a big tight end and they want to run the ball and they hit on big plays with Tanner on play action with studs like Morgan. Then you add the RPO stuff and they are all really complimentary on that offense.

We have to learn to win in The Shell and we have to play at a high level at home. Wether there are fans or no fans, you should be bringing your A game at home. We clearly can play better and I expect that we will this week.

Nchami had an MRI this morning. No damage to any ligaments and he's on a day-to-day basis with a high-level sprain. Will no more on how he feels here in the next day or two.

On how weird it is with no fans, says as a competitor, when the scoreboard comes on, it is about comepeting and doing it for the guy next to you and doing it for yourselves and not worrying about external elements. Hate it for our fans that they aren't allowed in, but any time you put on a Terps jersey, you need to have the right attitude and mind set and play up to the Maryland standard, especially at home.
