Spoke with a source on Broadus possibly taking the Morgan job.
This is what I was basically told, that at 55, he's simply looking to work his way back up the head coaching ladder and feels if he's going to do it, now is the time. Doesn't have anything to do with his relationship with Turgeon or any scuttlebutt out there, but simply the fact that it's a whole different ballgame for African American coaches looking for another shot at a head job and these are two great local opportunities at Morgan and Howard. He's ready and willing to put in the time, build those programs up and hope that he eventually gets a shot as a high major head coach somewhere down the line.
Source also made it sound like there could be an offer coming very soon from Morgan, if he doesn't have one already. Also sounds like he might prefer Howard of the two.
But if Broadus were to move on, would be a huge blow to recruiting, at least in the short term. Turgeon would need to quickly find a replacement.
