Just got word that starting WR Jeshaun Jones will miss the entire 2019 season after suffering a torn left ACL during yesterday's practice. Tough blow for a unit that is looking fairly deep, but VERY inexperienced. Official release from the school below:
COLLEGE PARK, Md. — University of Maryland sophomore wide receiver Jeshaun Jones will miss the 2019 season after tearing his left anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) at practice on Monday.
Jones, who scored seven touchdowns during an impressive freshman campaign in 2018, will redshirt this coming season.
A Fort Myers, Florida native, Jones appeared in all 12 games with two starts last season. He posted 22 receptions for 288 yards and 18 rushes for 173 yards. Jones’ five receiving touchdowns were the most by a Terps freshman since Stefon Diggs (2012).
