Jake Layman was presented with a qualifying offer from the Blazers yesterday, making him a restricted free agent.
A lot of movement going on in Portland. I honestly thought they had a chance to win it all last season before Nurkic got hurt. They just traded for Kent Bazemore on Monday and I'd guess he's plugged into the starting lineup at the three. I think Rodney Hood moves on in free agency, along with Seth Curry. But with Hood moving on, Layman should see an uptick in minutes again, if he signs. And my guess is he does. Then they can bring Nassir Little along slowly.
But good for Jake, who played his way into another contract with limited minutes on one of the top teams in the NBA.
