For Maryland, the scenario is a simple one: beat Penn State on Sunday and lock up a double-bye in the Big Ten Tournament.

Beating Penn State on the road would be no small task for the Terps. Maryland comes into Sunday afternoon's game just 1-8 on the road in conference play, with the one win coming against a Minnesota team that was in the midst of a 12-game losing streak.

The Terps already defeated Penn State earlier this season in College Park by a score of 74-68 behind a game-high 23 points by senior wing Hakim Hart. Maryland wasn't really able to slow down Penn State offensively, as the Nittany Lions shot over 50 percent from the field and were 12-of-26 from beyond the arc. But the Terps shot over 53 percent from the field themselves in the first game, getting to the line frequently as they finished 18-of23 from the charity stripe. The Terps were also able to force the Nittany Lions into 11 turnovers in the first meeting.

The Terps will not only have the challenge of trying to win on the road Sunday, but Jalen Picket, Seth Lundy and Myles Dread will all have their Senior Day ceremony. The Nittany Lions are also fighting for their postseason lives, as ESPN's Joe Lunardi currently has Penn State as the final team in the field of 68 but they could find themselves on the outside looking in with a loss to the Terps.

For Maryland, they will look to get back to playing tough defense on the road and trying to slow down PSU's three-point shooting. They will also look for a big game from senior guard Jahmir Young who will once again have the challenge of going head-to-head with likely first-team All-Big Ten guard Jalen Pickett.

But again, for Maryland, today's game is about putting it all on the line and doing whatever is necessary to get a crucial road win and lock up a double-bye in this week's Big Ten Tournament.
