Had a couple of people ask about starting Private Messages so here is a quick tutorial with pics.
You can start a PM one of several ways. The easiest might be to click on the little mail icon at the top right hand corner of the screen when logged in. It's right in between your user name and the alert flag. When you hover over the mail icon it shows a heading of 'Conversations' and you have the option just below to 'Start a New Conversation.' A new conversation is a new Private Message. Here's a pic of what I'm talking about.
The way I usually do it is to simply click on a person's avatar. When you do that, a popup box appears that shows that user's basic info. Just below their avatar and username in the popup should be the option to 'Start a Conversation,' just like above. When you do it this way, the conversation will automatically be between yourself and the person who's profile you had clicked on. Since folks were seeming to have a difficult time locating this, I've made a quick screen cap and underlined in red where you click to start a PM.
