The transfer portal is officially open for business today and things should start heating up quickly this week.

As far as those headed out, Noah Batchelor is officially in the portal this morning, officially opening up a spot for Willard to add a transfer.

On the Rodney Rice front, it does still seem like this is going to happen, but it is not yet a done deal and there are other schools trying to get him on board, also.

As for replacing Jahmir Young, I'm near certain Dug McDaniels will be available by the end of the day, the question is how much does Maryland want him and how hard to other programs go after him. He can score the ball, no doubt, but he does have some limitations with his size and defense. I also expect Harvard freshman Malik Mack to be available. The wildcard is Penn State's Ace Baldwin, the B1G DPOY who has one more year of eligibility.

At the wing forward spot, Tyrell Ward is a sniper who hit at a 40% clip in the SEC this season, having some of his biggest games down the stretch in wins over NCAA tourney teams. He's from the area and would immediately fill a huge void with his ability to connect from deep. One other name to possibly keep an eye on is Syracuse's Benny Williams, who officially went into the portal this morning. A former five-star from the area, there's no denying he has the physical tools and the talent, but he failed to put it all together at Syracuse. With that said, he still managed to average 7 points and 4 boards per game last season.

We are going to see a ton of big-time names pop up in the portal in the next 24-48 hours and then trickle in as teams are eliminated from the dance. This is quite possibly going to be the wildest ride (offseason) we've ever seen, so buckle up!
