Saw about another 25 minutes of football practice today. Here are some quick observations:

  • WR DJ Turner is back at practice after not being seen yesterday. We'll try to clarify the reason for his absence yesterday with Locksley after practice.
  • The energy level still seemed low to me today. Not sure what it is, could just be midseason fatigue setting in, but I feel like the early season practices had more juice from the coaches all the way down to the players.
  • I did see some really nice grabs by WRs today, particularly from Brian Cobbs, Dontay Demus, Darryl Jones, and Sean Nelson. But I also saw way too many drops again. These were on passes that were right on the hands and without any defensive backs present in the drill, so these balls all should have been caught. Let's hope the wideouts can tighten things up a bit before Saturday.
  • Not to remain negative, but the offensive line is also having a rough week at practice. OL coach John Reagan seems to be laying into his unit a lot for some sloppy mistakes and lack of energy. Again, hopefully this can be corrected before Saturday.
