The transfer portal is back open for football today and the Terps are one of a number of schools expected to host Arkansas transfer OL Andrew Chamblee, as initially reported by Pete Thamel.
The 6-foot-6, 300 pounder has been expected to enter the portal for some time and did so officially today. He started 8 games for the Hogs last season.
He's expected to visit Maryland this week and also has visits lined up to UCLA this week, Kansas State this weekend and Colorado next weekend for their spring game. Virginia Tech, SMU and Indiana are also involved.
Obviously, good to be one of the first to get him on campus, but this one seems likely to be drawn out a bit.
This does clearly signal, however, that they are still looking to bolster the O-line heading into fall camp. I'd guess more names will pop up between now and the summer.
