The Sporting Kansas City (dopiest club name in MLS) star and member of the 2005 and 2008 Terp NT squads, received 11 of 22 votes from reporters covering MLS as the best player in the month of June for what has been a breakout performance. He only became a starter at the beginning of June, but then totaled 2 goals and 3 assists -- all three assists were on game winning goals as SKC went 3-0-3 during that period. That undefeated stretch has turned around what was starting to look like a lackluster season for the club. Both of Zusi's goals came against FC Dallas including a 40 yard screamer -- almost all of his scoring has been off of free kicks, making him now one of the MLS' top set piece play artists.

I am happy to see this. Graham was always a soft-spoken guy who worked very patiently while he was at Maryland. Not the flashiest of players but a determined, hard-nosed forward who has skills and gets the job done. And he is totally unselfish: the MLS press release said that only David Beckham has more game winning assists this season.
