On the penalties, just use good fundamentals and good technique and know where you are on the field and you probably won't have all of those penalties.

On Michigan's RB, he's a very good back, strong and powerful with good vision. But it's all about playing low and taking care of your gap and getting off of blocks and getting to the football. Those are the things you have to do to stop the run.

On the player leadership, they talk to guys and let them know this isn't the way we want or expect to play. Everybody at some point in time has been down this road before. We have 8 games left and we are 2-2. You just keep going out there and practice and get better and fight your way out of this. Keep fighting, practice hard and fight through it. Only way to do it is to go out in practice and get better every day.

On Ruddock, he's done a really good job of running their offense. Good athlete that can throw the ball from 3 step, 5 step and play action. He's done a really good job for them.

On Craddock and leadership, he's going to talk to guys and continue going out and setting the example. And he's going to work hard everyday and keep working on and improving his craft. But he's going to tell guys to go out and do there job. Go out and play and play one play at a time. Don't worry about what you did on the last play, move forward to the next play.

Life is hard, as Forest Gump said, everything isn't going to be like a box of chocolates. Collectively as a team, we need to stick together, circle the wagons and go out and prepare hard. But you face adversity in life, we are 4 games into it, we're 2-2 and we're going to do everything we can collectively to get back to playing the way we know we can play.

On starting conference play, it's a little different because you are now in conference play. And you want to be the best you can be in conference and that starts this week with Michigan.

Says Michigan is playing at a high level right now. Wolverines are a top 5 team defensively and they are running the ball well as well as passing the ball well right now in play action.

On losing confidence after last week, a loss is never good. But the good thing is, you get a chance to put it behind you and show how good you can be the next week. You have to put it behind you and move forward and put all of your attention on the next game.

On what he's looking for from Caleb, wants him to just go out and execute. Take what's given to you and don't press. Don't try to improvise to the point that it costs us turnovers.

On Daxx possibly playing earlier this week, Caleb having a shorter leash, says the QB play once the game starts will dictate what they are going to do. They want Caleb to play well and all of the starters to play well, but they have to see what happens through out the game and they will have to live with their decisions.

On differences from last year's and this year's Michigan team, they are a year older with that much more experience. Says he remembers Hoke saying he had a good team coming back last year. Jim and his staff have done a great job, but those guys are all a year older, too.
