We're about a half hour from kickoff between the Terps and Wuffies and the cat appears to now be out of the bag, as Taulia Tagovailoa will not start today due to disciplinary reasons. Billy Edwards will get the start, although Tagovailoa is expected to play, per team spokesperson. It is also worth noting that Tagovailoa has been warming up and is dressed for today's game.
From what I am hearing, there could be some other guys out of the starting lineup today as well, although still can't 100% confirm that yet. If there are other starters benched, hopefully it is just for a quarter or half and they won't have to sit for the entire game.
True freshman QB MJ Morris is warming up pregame and is expected to play today, along with Ben Finley who started the final two games of the season. A lot of question marks for both offenses leading right up to kickoff.
One area where NC State seems to have an advantage is with their defense. They have one of the top run defenses in the country, they like to blitz and they have DBs capable of making plays and creating turnovers. If they can get to either of Maryland's QBs early in the game, it could play a factor in how they react the rest of the game. Maryland will also need some of the younger receivers like Tai Felton and Octavian Smith to step up with guys like Jarrett, Copeland and Dippre not playing today.
