I caught up with DJ Harvey yesterday at the DMVElite Super Team Showcase in Bowie to talk about his recent visit and Terps offer. I was a bit surprised that DJ seemed to be somewhat caught off guard by the offer, especially considering he attended a game or two this past season. But the staff has been very judicious with offers so far in the 2017 class.
I do think that Maryland could have a real shot here. I thought it was very interesting how he said things can change between now and the time he commits. I think some of these 2017 kids will be looking very intently on the team's national ranking and where guys like Melo and Diamond are projected to go in next year's draft.
But I do want to add, that as of now, while both are yet to offer, I've still got Duke and Kentucky out from for Harvey. But a big year for the team and Diamond will go a long ways.
