I mean we certainly are at some type of crossroads. Is this a 7-5 team or a 5-7 team? So many question marks. Do we finally get good consistent production at the QB spot? Everything points to a big YES at that position. Will the OL respond accordingly? I really think this team has a chance to have a very good offensive season.
Can you imagine rooting for a team/program that only has to worry about which Jan. 1 or better game they are playing in. Or like Alabama and now Clemson that is already game planning on their first round playoff game. We could only dream.
Will the D surprise us? Can the DL consistently stop/slow down most B1G running games? One thing I do know is that the DMV can produce many top level LB's and DE's every year. There is no excuse for not getting at least 1 4 star recruit at these positions each year. Over a 5 year period that should translate to 5 4* at each position. If you control the edge with a consistent pass rush than you control the game.
DB's/CB can come from anywhere as we see Locks will go south to get them. It seems that the DMV produces good quality safety's so that's a good thing.
So for 2.5 million plus per year what kind of game day coach will Locks be and will he and his staff develop players and get the most out of them whether they are NFL caliber or not. I guess that's why they play the games.
I have told my wife I will be getting a 84 inch TV when I turn 65 in three years. She said fine but how will you be paying for a trip to the Rose Bowl? I said she wouldn't be going; instant savings..LOL
