ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Big Ten announced its 2015-16 men’s basketball conference games to be televised by CBS Sports or an ESPN network on Thursday.
Coverage will begin with four games on Wednesday, Dec. 30, with three contests set to appear on ESPN2 and one on ESPNU. The ESPN2 slate will feature Illinois hosting Michigan, Penn State traveling to Maryland and Rutgers hosting Indiana. Northwestern will travel to Nebraska to appear on ESPNU.
The first Big Ten game airing on CBS Sports will be on Sunday, Jan. 10, when Ohio State travels to Indiana. CBS Sports will carry eight games on Saturdays and Sundays throughout the conference season, including wildcard selections on Feb. 20 or 21, Feb. 27 or 28 and March 5 or 6. CBS Sports will also continue to provide coverage of the Big Ten Tournament for the 19th consecutive year, carrying the semifinals and championship game on March 12 and 13. At least six conference teams are set to appear on CBS Sports during the Big Ten season, including Michigan State at Wisconsin on Jan. 17, Maryland at Ohio State on Jan. 31, Michigan State at Michigan on Feb. 6 and Indiana at Michigan State on Feb. 14.
The Big Ten will once again be featured on an ESPN network on Tuesdays at 7 or 9 p.m. ET as part of the network’s Super Tuesday lineup. ESPN or ESPN2 will also carry at least one Big Ten game as part of the network’s Thursday Night Showcase throughout the conference season, while ESPNU will also continue to air conference games. Five games during the first three rounds of the Big Ten Men’s Basketball Tournament will also be televised by ESPN or ESPN2.
