The seven (7) teams from the Big XII that made the dance were 4 wins - 5 losses vs non-conference competition in the final AP poll and suffered eight (8) losses to non-conference foes outside of the top 25. Four (4) of the seven teams didn't beat a non-conference opponent in the final AP.
Somehow four (4) Big XII teams were seeded higher than us....they were 4-3 against final AP with five (5) non-conference losses outside the top 25. Wisconsin and Maryland were 3-2 with no non-conference losses outside the top 25.
Classic case of media over-hyping / ranking teams in a conference before season and carried it thru selection sunday. The numbers don't support the hype. What a poor job the Committee has done!
That said, how awesome would it be if we were so fortunate to win "road games" against Valpo and WVU....and then hang the only "L" on kentucky (and the Harrison twins) this year? Play with a chip, gentlemen!
