Before the season begins and they start playing games...cant help but wonder something. The Terps flirted with Damion Lee (5th year transfer) and he ended up at Louisville before ever actually visting Maryland I believe even though we were suppossed to be the "favorite" to land him. We then got Rasheed Suilimon of Duke (another 5th year transfer) to play the shooting guard position vacated by Dez Wells. Both serious talents for sure. Just wondering a few things:
1. Who would have been the better fit for us?
2. Did Turge pass on Lee because he knew Suilimon had interest and prefered him?
3. Who is the better talent?
4. When Lee visited Louisville maybe he was treated to some female hpsitality as the book claims many recruits and players have been. Maybe that sealed the deal?
I am very happy with the team we have. More talent that we have had in more than 12 years if not longer. I just like to think about what all goes into creating a roster and the twist and turns recruiting kids can take. And when I read aboult the sex allegations at Louisville....it brought the Damion Lee thing to mind.
