Maryland added to its 2017 class Tuesday afternoon with a commitment from Riverside City College (Calif.) linebacker Nick Underwood, who took to Twitter to make his announcement.
With his pledge to the Terps, the 6-foot-1, 225-pound JUCO standout became the second linebacker to join Maryland's current recruiting class along with Olney (Md.) Good Counsel three-star Ayinde Eley.
Underwood took an official visit to College Park Dec. 8 and then took an official to Washington State immediately after before deciding to become a Terp. The former Air Force commit becomes the 26th pledge to Maryland's 2017 class but is expected to sign Wednesday and be an early enrollee. Underwood currently attends the same school as Terps defensive back target Tareke Lewis.
